Just in case you don't already know, RPG stands for Role Playing Game.
I've played a bunch of different RPGs, but I play Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) and Vampire: The Masquerade the most often.
My favorite characters in D&D:

My favorite Vampire character is Taji Mandelbrot, a malkavian.
Here is my description of a good DM (Dungeon Master, or person who runs the game) is someone who:

Doesn't make the enemy too hard or to easy too kill (it can be difficult to find balance)

Doesn't make one PC (Player Character) more powerful than the other characters, even if they like that person or are interested in them

Runs games that involve more than killing

Doesn't do adversarial gaming
