Op Art = Optical (Illusion) Art
If you've been wondering why I haven't been posting much lately, it's because of school. I am in an art class there, though, so I've been working on some drawing. Not much photography lately, though.
Our latest assignment was on op art. We've spent quite a while on it . The first day we learned to draw and grid spheres, and the next we did the same for cubes. Then we spend a few days (3 or so) working on our own op art drawing. Here's mine.
( Also, if you want to know more about how I made this, feel free to ask. ^_~ )
My latest piece done in oil pastels.

Something similar to what I saw the first time I experienced synesthesia. The dots were very difficult for me to draw, because they were ever-changing, always shifting... and they were plain dull grey, iridecent, many-colored, patterned, and many other things all at the same time. They shifted so quickly... after experimenting with making noises, popping my ears, etc., I found that them shifting related to what I heard.
My favorite one of the dots is the marbled one... it's kinda grey and white swirly. That one took the longest to draw, and involved more color blending and shading than the others.
I might do some more synesthesia drawings later, I'm not sure.
Note: a tiny bit of the right side was chopped off due to the paper being larger than my scanner.

Q: How were you able to see through these dots?
A: They were see through, I just didn't do that with this piece because I had trouble getting that effect while still having the patterns in the various dots. I did, however, sketch a living room in pencil as the first thing I did, and then I drew the dots over it in oil pastels.
I (my SL name is Taji Mandelbrot) and several other TGers have gotten together and decided to make a new podcast! It'll be about SecondLife. Now, I know what you're thinking-- there's already a great SL podcast out there (SecondCast)! Thing is, SecondCast is for the Main/Mature Grid (MG). We'll be covering the Teen Grid (TG). The name of our new podcast? primCast!
We don't have a website up quite yet, but it's on the way! ;D
Also, I'm planning on beginning to sell some of my clothing creations in SL soon. Keep an eye out for my shop!

The Ad Girl Collage is finally done! Yaay!
